The Company
LANPRO Systems was founded in 2002 with a specific mission:
To deliver enterprise quality information technology consulting and support solutions to small and midsized businesses (SMBs).
The Pain
Our founder, Chris McGlasson, worked in IT organizations serving both the small and midsized business (SMB) community as well as large enterprises. From his experience came three very important lessons:
- Despite the promise of the Internet “leveling the playing field” with the free flow of information, SMBs are not gaining on their larger brethren when it comes to moving and managing information effectively.
- To prosper, SMBs must have information systems that allow them to effectively compete in today’s global economy.
- The technology and the knowledge that truly level the playing field exist, but remain largely untapped by SMBs.
The problem stems primarily from a lack of resources. Executives of SMB organizations, typically CEOs, CFOs, and COOs, know business and they are particularly adept when it comes to their own field. They cannot be expected, however, to run their organizations and effectively keep up with the rapidly changing world of information technology.
Effective IT management and monitoring systems are expensive and difficult to deploy and maintain. While enterprises have the resources to implement these systems and, due to gains in efficiency and productivity, realize a return on investment. SMBs are not so fortunate.
The Solution
We have built a consulting and support practice modeled after an internal IT department for a Fortune 500 company. Instead of spreading the costs over thousands of internal employees, we partner with scores of small and mid-sized companies to offer businesses an unparalleled level of IT service.
LANPRO Systems have built a team of information technology professionals who understand business needs and the methodologies and processes of enterprise IT departments. Our application of these tools and methodologies provides our clients a level of service that would cost three times the price utilizing traditional hourly based models. |
